Pricing questions
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Cancel from your Account page. Pro stays active until the end of the current 30-day period, then your account returns to the free plan and nothing more is billed.
How does payment work?
When card billing is live, checkout is hosted by Stripe and SlatePDF never sees or stores your card number. If the checkout page shows a “Test mode — no real charge” banner, no payment is taken at all: Pro is simply switched on for 30 days so you can try every feature, and it ends automatically unless you renew.
Do I need Pro to edit, protect or unlock PDFs?
No. The editor, blank PDF maker, Protect and Unlock are free. Free accounts get 10 protect and 10 unlock runs a day and files up to 25 MB.
Do you offer refunds?
If you paid for Pro and it is not working for you, email us within 7 days of your first charge for a full refund. Test-mode periods involve no payment, so there is nothing to refund. Details are in our refund policy.
